Organization roles and access

Assign the least amount of dashboard access needed for each mosque team member.

Organization members are managed from the organization profile, including /organization/members when the deep link is available. The exact visible pages also depend on the organization’s enabled features, plan, verification state, and the member’s role.

Available roles

The current organization UI provides these role choices:

RoleMain responsibility
AdminOrganization administration and broad access.
MemberGeneral organization access where the feature permits it.
EditorNews, events, and related content work.
Page BuilderPublic website pages and Page Builder configuration.
StreamerLive rooms, translation, and streaming controls.
Prayer timesPrayer-time and screen management.

The table describes the intended responsibility, not a promise that every page is visible in every organization. Feature gates and the dashboard navigation apply in addition to roles.

Invite a member

  1. Open the organization profile.
  2. Open Members.
  3. Choose Invite.
  4. Enter the person’s email address.
  5. Select the required role or roles.
  6. Review the permissions preview.
  7. Send the invitation.

Invite only people who need access to the organization. Use a personal work address rather than a shared mailbox when possible so the account can be identified and protected.

Manage invitations and members

Administrators can:

  • Resend a pending invitation.
  • Cancel a pending invitation.
  • Edit a member’s roles.
  • Remove a member.

After changing access, ask the person to refresh the dashboard and verify the pages they should see. Removing a member does not delete the person’s separate moschee.io account.

Plan and feature gates

The following can still hide a page even when a role is correct:

  • The feature is not enabled for the organization.
  • The organization has not completed a required setup or verification step.
  • The user is waiting for an administrator to select or activate a plan.
  • The route is restricted to organization administration.

Use /usage and the feature’s own guide to distinguish a role problem from a plan limit.

Access review

Review members after staff changes, volunteers leaving, and external support work. Remove unused accounts, reduce broad roles, and rotate organization credentials when a person had access to them.
