Custom typography

Custom typography is available at /pagebuilder/typography. The page is restricted to organizations with the Custom Typography feature, currently associated with the Reichweite plan. Members and Page Builder users can use the page when the feature is enabled.

Assign fonts to roles

The page supports four typography roles:

• Heading
• Body
• Button
• Arabic

For each role, choose the system default or a font from the organization’s font library. The Arabic role lets you select a font specifically for Arabic text. Preview text is shown beside each role so you can compare the result before publishing.

Changing a role updates the organization’s typography settings. Wait for the save state to finish, then open a public page and check headings, paragraphs, buttons, and Arabic content.

Add a Google font

The Google-font picker contains the fonts allowed by the application:

1. Open /pagebuilder/typography.
2. Select an available font.
3. Review the available weights shown by the picker.
4. Choose Add.
5. Assign the new font to one or more roles.

Fonts already in the organization library are not offered a second time. Use an Arabic font for Arabic content when the preview requires it.

Upload a custom font

The custom-font card accepts WOFF2, WOFF, TTF, and OTF files. You can upload several faces to one family:

1. Enter a family name.
2. Select one or more font files.
3. Check the detected weight and style for every file.
4. Correct the weight or choose normal or italic when the filename was ambiguous.
5. Choose a fallback family: sans-serif, serif, or monospace.
6. Mark the family as Arabic when appropriate.
7. Upload the files.

The current font upload profile limits each uploaded font file to 2 MB. Use fonts that your organization is licensed to publish. Uploading a face does not automatically assign it to a role.

Remove or reset

Remove a font from the library only after checking which roles use it. A role whose font is removed must fall back to the system default or another selected font. You can also select the system default directly for a role.

Troubleshooting

• If the page is not available, confirm the plan feature and organization role.
• If a font does not appear, check its file type and size.
• If a weight looks wrong, edit the detected weight before uploading again.
• If Arabic glyphs look incorrect, assign an Arabic font to the Arabic role and test an Arabic page.
• If a public page still shows the old font, refresh it after the settings save completes and check the page’s loaded CSS.

Custom typography changes the public website’s presentation. Check the result in the responsive Page Builder preview and on a real mobile browser before publishing.
