Stripe Connect
Connect and monitor the organization’s Stripe account for online donations.
Stripe Connect
Online donations use the organization’s connected Stripe account. Stripe onboarding and payout information are shown in the Payments tab at /donations/settings.
Start or continue onboarding
- Open
/donations/settings. - In the Payments tab, choose Connect with Stripe or Continue onboarding.
- Complete the Stripe onboarding flow in the embedded view or on Stripe’s site.
- Return to moschee.io and check the status shown in the Payments tab.
The application can show a hosted Stripe continuation when the embedded flow cannot be rendered. Do not close the flow until Stripe confirms the submitted information.
Status meanings
- Incomplete: Stripe onboarding still needs information.
- Charges enabled: Stripe allows charges for the connected account.
- Payouts enabled: Stripe allows payouts for the connected account.
- Pending verification: Stripe is reviewing submitted documents.
- Currently due: Stripe has listed requirements that must be supplied.
- Past due: requirements are overdue and payouts may be at risk.
The dashboard can display the provider’s requirement keys. They are provider identifiers, not a replacement for reading the corresponding request in Stripe.
Balance and payouts
When payouts are enabled, the Payments tab can show available balance, pending balance, and recent payouts. A payout can have a status and an arrival date; a failed payout can include a failure message. Use Open Stripe Dashboard for the connected account’s provider-level details.
Balance availability and payout timing are controlled by Stripe. Do not promise a payout date to donors based only on the moschee.io display.
Reconciliation export
The Payments tab includes an export for a selected date range when the connected account is available. The reconciliation data is intended to help compare settled provider movements with the organization’s records. The donation CSV export and the Stripe balance reconciliation answer different questions:
- The donation export describes donation records and their project, source, status, amount, fee, payment-intent, and subscription fields.
- The reconciliation export describes connected-account balance movements for the selected period.
Keep both exports with the organization’s bookkeeping records.
Troubleshooting
- If Stripe is incomplete, return to onboarding and resolve every displayed requirement.
- If charges are disabled, do not publish a campaign as ready for online payment.
- If payouts are disabled or past due, review Stripe’s account notice before contacting support.
- If no balance is shown, confirm that the account is connected and payouts are enabled.
- Never share API keys, private documents, full payment details, or provider login credentials.
