Manage the screen fleet
Read device status, apply commands, assign playlists, and configure per-screen overrides.

Open Screens at /screens. The page is the command center for paired Smart TVs, hosted clients, and desktop screen clients.
Fleet summary
The KPI strip shows:
- Total: all paired devices in the organization.
- Live: devices with an active real-time connection.
- Offline: devices that are not currently online.
- Updates: devices with an available client update.
Each row also shows the device name, client/platform, operating system when available, app version, presence, and last-seen time. A device may be online without having an active real-time connection; the detail sheet is the best place to inspect its current information.
Device detail sheet
Select a row to open its detail sheet. Depending on the client, you can see:
- App version and, for Smart TV bundles, the separate shell version.
- Operating system, architecture, and browser information when reported.
- Pairing date.
- Assigned playlist.
- Update availability or update progress.
- Per-device settings overrides.
The available administrator actions are:

| Reload | Asks the client to fetch the latest payload |
| Restart | Requests a client restart where supported |
| Install update | Requests the client update or hard reload appropriate to that client |
| Disconnect | Revokes the device session and removes the device from the paired list |
Device mutations require an organization admin or owner.
Playlist assignment
The assignment selector lives in the device detail sheet. Choose a playlist to give that device an explicit assignment, or choose Default playlist to remove the explicit assignment. The resolution order is:
- An active playlist schedule.
- The device’s explicit playlist assignment.
- The organization’s default playlist.
- The legacy fixed layout when the organization has no playlist to render.
Schedules therefore take precedence over both an assignment and the default. See schedules and assignment for the full precedence rules.
Per-device overrides
Overrides are sparse: Inherited (default) means the device uses the organization setting. Only explicitly changed values are stored for that device.
Available overrides include:
- Layout: Mawaqit-style or split.
- Iqamah countdown: banner, badge, or hidden.
- Times shown: Athan and Iqamah, Athan only, or Iqamah only.
- Behavior during prayer: normal display, locked with a reminder, or black screen.
- Behavior during the Friday sermon: normal display, locked with a reminder, or black screen.
- Tomorrow’s times after prayer: on or off.
- Connection-status indicator: on or off.
- Desktop autostart on boot: inherited, on, or off; this appears for the desktop client.
- Ticker: inherited, disabled, or custom text.
Saving an override refreshes the device. If the screen is not connected, it applies the change on its next poll.
Reload and update behavior
The dashboard reports whether a push service delivered a command immediately. If the push service is not configured, the save can still succeed and the screen will pick up the change on its next poll. If no screen is connected, a reload is queued by the same polling behavior.
Never disconnect a device merely because it is temporarily offline. First check power, network access, the client window, and the last-seen timestamp.
