Create, edit, publish, pause, and archive donation campaigns.
Donation projects
A project is a public campaign with its own story, goal, optional deadline, donation tiers, updates, and transaction history. Create projects at /donations/projects.
Create a project
- Open
/donations/projects. - Choose New project.
- Enter a title. This is required and can contain up to 255 characters.
- Add an optional description of up to 2,000 characters.
- Add an optional positive goal amount in EUR, or leave it empty for an open-ended campaign.
- Add an optional image URL.
- Choose Create project.
The create form is intentionally small. After creation, open the project’s edit page to add the richer campaign content and optional impact configuration.
Edit the campaign
The edit route is /donations/projects/[id]/edit. It supports:
- Project title
- Rich description content
- Goal amount or no goal
- Image URL
- Optional campaign deadline
- Up to 12 amount-based impact labels
- An optional impact unit converter
- A per-project leaderboard toggle
An impact label explains what a particular amount represents. An impact unit converter expresses an amount as a configured number of units. Both are optional and must reflect the organization’s real claims.
Status and archive behavior
Projects can be shown as active, paused, completed, or archived. The project header exposes the actions available for the current status: pause an active project, reactivate a paused project, archive a non-archived project, and unarchive an archived project.
Archiving changes project visibility in the project manager; it is not a refund and does not delete donation records. A deadline shows a countdown while relevant and an ended note after the deadline. The code does not automatically block donations after the deadline.
Public review checklist
Use the View on website action from the project page and check:
- Title, image, and story
- Goal and progress display
- Deadline or ended note, if configured
- Donation amount and recurring options
- Tiers, if configured
- Updates and recent donations
- Leaderboard visibility and anonymity behavior
- Social links and language
