Set up prayer times

Configure prayer times for your mosque—automatic, manual, or via import.

Prayer times are the core of your moschee.io setup. Here you manage when the adhan is called, when the congregational prayer (iqama) starts, and which calculation method is used.

Access & overview

In the dashboard go to Prayer times. You land on the overview showing the current status. To adjust settings, open Settings in the sub-menu.

Set the base calculation type:

  • Automatic: Times are calculated from your location.
  • Custom calendar: Upload a CSV calendar or enter times manually.
  • Import from Mawaqit: Sync directly with an existing Mawaqit account.

Configure the calculation type

Options differ based on your choice:

If "Automatic": Configure calculation parameters.

  • Method: Choose the standard (e.g., Muslim World League for Europe).
  • Madhhab: Shafi (default) or Hanafi (affects Asr).
  • Adjustments: Add or subtract minutes per prayer (e.g., +5 minutes for Maghrib).

If "Import from Mawaqit": Search for your mosque in the database and connect it. Times sync daily.

If "Custom calendar": You get a yearly view to edit times month by month.

Iqama times (congregational start)

Separate from the adhan, set when the congregation starts. Under Iqama times you have three options:

  1. Fixed times: The prayer is always at the same clock time (e.g., Dhuhr always 13:30).
  2. Minutes after adhan: The prayer starts X minutes after adhan (e.g., Maghrib always 10 min after adhan).
  3. Calendar: Set the iqama individually for each day.

Additional settings

Configure special cases:

  • Jumu'ah (Friday): Set khutbah and prayer time; you can add multiple Jumu'ah slots.
  • Ramadan: Create a Ramadan-specific calendar that only applies during the month.
  • Eid prayers: Configure Eid prayer times.
